Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music from Oklahoma Baptist University. Master of Music in Composition from Eastman School of Music. Studied with Sam Adler and Warren Benson. Writer of some 40 "classical" works and about 50 "commercial" works. First Prize winner of the 1997 Creative Inspire Open MIDI Contest. First Prize winner of the Creative Labs 2003 Soundfont Contest. In 2005, my Concert Fanfare for Orchestra was recorded for Vol. 10 of Masterworks of the New Era CD series which was released on April 23, 2007. (The MP3 file of this work on the FNCI web site is from an older recording.) I have worked to push for the acceptance of orchestral reproduction using computer generated sounds. In doing so, I have created the East Pacific Symphony. The computer must now be accepted as an instrument. I have produced 3 albums using my techniques: "a new light ~ christmas", "Somewhere Over...", and "For Any Season". Each album moved the sound closer to a live orchestral sound. I am currently seeking grant money to produce an album of "serious, concert" music by Native American composers using computers and electro-acoustic instruments. More information on the Native American Recording Project can found at my website, www.rmamusic.com. The music featured above is 1) Concert Fanfare for Orchestra, 2) "Dance" from editEdmaSTer, and 3) Thoughts, Conflicts, and A Contemplation or Two (orchestral version).
